Italian term used to identify THE premiere HANDmade apron-making duo who create vintage-inspired, retro-styled kitchen {and hostess} aprons and accessories for the modern woman, one at a time.
Origin & History:
Formally launched in 2008, Bambino Amore was created by two crafty ladies who get along so swimmingly that you would never guess that they are mother and daughter. This dynamic duo is also known as Robbie {the mom} and Kate {the daughter}.
They wanted to share their love of fashion found in eras gone by {think Hollywood chic as exemplified by Audrey & Katherine Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, and Rita Hayworth}. This meant not just “reproducing” items, but, capturing the sense of the era itself for the modern woman.
So, they put pencil to paper and began sketching. Patterns were altered, tweaked, and re-altered – all to make sure that the figure of each woman would be flattered while wearing a Bambino Amore apron.
The end result was a full line of “vintage-inspired,” retro looking aprons that empower women of all ages, shapes, and sizes – aprons that make a woman feel confident & beautiful while performing the most mundane tasks around the house AND simply spectacular while hosting parties. Their aprons are SPECIFICALLY designed to salute & celebrate the modern woman by drawing inspiration from the past.
